Commitment to work - Key to Success

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.
Where the willingness is great, the difficulties cannot be great.”

This is reflected from a story of a man born to a business family with strong mind and self-belief. Vinod Jain, M.D., Goyum Screw Press, after completing his B.A started his business of Manufacturing Oil Expeller Machines independently, in the field similar to his father’s.

Inspired by his father who started the business with ‘Zero’ investment and his own Success Mantra – Commitment to work & proper Time Management, he took his business around the world. He believes one should always begin with one’s strengths. Though he was into the same business line as his father but unlike him he was not satisfied with local business as people in it demand for cheap and low quality goods so he decided to go for international market. Currently the company is dealing with around 35 countries of the world. The favorable government policies, good & quality business abroad encouraged this expansion.

According to him employees are the Prime Source of a company. Employer’s vision and employees mission is the great combination for company’s growth. Though at present the company is affected by recession still he shows concern for his employees. Instead of layoffs or salary cuts he said, we have reduced working hours but we still pay workers according to their work, even good incentives and uniforms are given.

The self dependent entrepreneur has struggled a long way from a small empire to an empire worth 10 crore and has further plans of expansion in foreign countries.

  20. One thing I have liked about Mr. Vinod he was not ready to compromise the quality products he had in mind with inferior products being demanded locally. Thus going international..
ANd never laid off workers during recession but reduced working hours.... This is total concern for employees. He must be a good entrepreneur.
I like the article Karan keep feeding us with more.. Cheers

  26. An excellent article Karan and an equally good example.Stirs up your mind, especially at this time, when it's difficult to focus, with recession playing its role in the background.

However, reminds me of some lines by Barak Obama, which i would like to mention here:

"Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it's not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. it's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.."

So, lets be committed towards our aim in life!! Hurdles are bound to come, but we should treat a failure as a a U-Turn and not a dead end ;)

    Cheers!!

  29. If we think on realistic grounds then I would say nothing is impossible in any direction. The things which needs to be taken care is to have Practical approach, Open mindset, Being true to innerself, Ability to measure own capabilities & Well defined Plan covering 95% of the Known Risks & for Unknown Risks contingency plan must be there like the action taken by Mr. Vinod in case of recession.

All this are some of the attributes of a Successful person whether he/she may be in Service Industry or a Entreprenueur & so is found in the character of Mr. Vinod Jain.

The above article is a perfect example especially for the young blood towards generating the employment in a country of over 1 Billion people being an Entrepreneur.

So we need to just come up with such innovative ideas which are in budget & should scale up from that ...... & then SKY IS THE LIMIT ..... !!

So .... It's the need of the hour ..... Wake Up Sid ........ (Sid => India).... & do something different which is recognized & appreciated ... !!
